Interpreting for solicitors' meetings in Scotland
A solicitor can only act on what a client understands and what the solicitor has heard. We provide confidential interpreters for client meetings, so advice is given and received in full.
When people call us
- First consultations and ongoing instructions
- Taking statements and signing documents
- Family law, wills and powers of attorney
- Conveyancing and property purchases
- Translation of letters, contracts and evidence
How we approach it
Confidential
Interpreters work under confidentiality terms. What is said in the meeting stays in the meeting.
Faithful to the words
We do not paraphrase legal terms or add explanations. If a term has no direct equivalent, we say so and ask you to clarify.
Ready to start
We can take instructions by phone or video as well as in your office, so a first meeting is not held up.
Booking
What helps us get it right.
The more we know before the day, the better the match. Have these to hand when you call or fill in the form.
- Language, dialect and any gender preference
- Type of matter, to choose suitable vocabulary
- Whether documents will be read out or signed
- Office address or video link, and expected length
Languages
Available in all four.
Questions
Solicitors' meetings: common questions
Can you attend our office?
Yes. We attend offices across Scotland by arrangement, and we can join by video from anywhere.
Do you provide signed translations of documents?
Tell us who needs them and why. We will confirm what we can provide, including a signed statement of accuracy where that is accepted.
Ready when you are
Tell us what you need, and when.
A short call or message is usually enough for us to say what we can arrange and what it will cost.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. [email protected]
