Housing interpreting in Scotland

People lose homes and miss support because a letter or a conversation was not understood. We interpret for councils, housing associations, landlords and tenants so that everyone knows what has been agreed.

When people call us

  • Homelessness presentations and assessments
  • Tenancy sign-ups, inspections and rent conversations
  • Repairs, anti-social behaviour and mediation meetings
  • Housing options and application interviews
  • Translation of tenancy agreements, notices and guides

How we approach it

Everyone leaves understanding

Interpreters make sure rights, dates and responsibilities are heard in the person's own language.

Plain translated letters

Notices and agreements are translated clearly, with deadlines and contact details kept prominent.

Respectful of the home

Home visits are handled with care and discretion.

Booking

What helps us get it right.

The more we know before the day, the better the match. Have these to hand when you call or fill in the form.

  • Address or video details, and the type of meeting
  • The household's language and any particular dialect
  • How many people the interpreter will need to speak with
  • Any documents to be explained or translated

Questions

Housing: common questions

Do you do home visits?

Yes, across much of Scotland. Tell us the address and we will confirm availability, or suggest video if it is quicker.

Can you translate our tenancy information pack?

Yes. We translate guides, leaflets and agreements and can keep a consistent glossary across all your documents.

Ready when you are

Tell us what you need, and when.

A short call or message is usually enough for us to say what we can arrange and what it will cost.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. [email protected]
