Council and community meeting interpreting in Scotland
Local decisions work better when more people can take part. We interpret public meetings, consultations and engagement events so residents can ask questions, hear answers and have their say.
When people call us
- Public meetings and community council sessions
- Planning and service consultations
- Drop-in sessions and engagement events
- Welcome events for new communities
- Translated consultation documents and surveys
How we approach it
Whispered or consecutive
We advise which style suits your event, from quiet whispered interpreting for one resident to full consecutive interpreting for a session.
Neutral voice
Interpreters do not take part in debate. They carry what each person says, faithfully.
Documents too
Consultation papers and surveys can be translated before the event, so people can prepare.
Booking
What helps us get it right.

- Date, time, venue and agenda
- Number of people who need interpreting and which languages

Questions
Council meetings: common questions
Can you interpret for several languages at once?
Yes. Tell us the languages and numbers and we will plan a team.
Do you translate consultation documents?
Yes. We translate and typeset them so they are ready to publish or print.
Ready when you are
Tell us what you need, and when.
A short call or message is usually enough for us to say what we can arrange and what it will cost.
